Who we are and what we do
Aware empowers children and young people across Angus to explore their options and make safe choices.
Aware works with children and young people, under the age of 18, living in the Angus area who have experienced or are still experiencing domestic abuse either at home or in their own relationship.
We are a free and confidential service who will believe you, listen to you and respect your choices.
Remember, domestic abuse is never your fault. You are not to blame.

- Make a safety plan to keep yourself safe
- You can talk to someone you trust about it
- Use this site to contact a member of the AWARE team to help you deal with how this is making you feel
Contacting a member of the AWARE team means you can talk to a worker in confidence.
They won't tell anyone unless you have asked them to or unless you are in danger.
They will listen and help you sort out what you can do, at your own pace.
